Missed out on the OG CitiXens sale? Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to purchase CitiXens NFTs from the OpenSea NFT marketplace.

OpenSea and RFOX NFTs

OpenSea.io is a website that serves as a secondary market for trading non-fungible tokens (NFTs), including RFOX VALT assets such as CitiXens NFTs, RFOX VALT SHOPs, and more. At OpenSea, you can buy NFTs being listed for sale, bid on NFTs in an auction, and place offers on NFTs that are not yet for sale.

The official RFOX VALT OG CitiXens collection currently features OG CitiXens Pods. In the future, actual OG CitiXens can be offered for sale once the minting process for these NFTs starts. There will be a separate collection on OpenSea for RFOX VALT CitiXens, so watch out for that when it launches.

Before Using OpenSea

Before accessing OpenSea, you will need to connect your cryptocurrency wallet to the platform. Please note that CitiXens NFTs will be on the Ethereum blockchain, specifically using the ERC721A token standard, so you must use a crypto wallet that supports this token standard, like Metamask and WalletConnect.

How to Find OG CitiXens on OpenSea

Step One: Go to the OpenSea.io website.

Step Two: Type RFOX VALT OG CitiXens (or click here) in the search box at the top of the website. Click the result in the list that shows 1,300 items.

Step Three: Sort the listed items according to preference. Here are some filters you can use:

A) Status: Buy Now (items currently available for sale), On Auction (items you can currently bid on), or Buy with Card (items you can purchase using cards).

B) Price: You can state the minimum and maximum price range for your filters. This is particularly useful if you have a set budget for buying NFTs on the platform.

You can also sort the listed items according to several filters, such as recently listed, ending soon, price low to high, and more.

Once you have set the filters you want (if any), you can now browse the library of available CitiXens. Click any of the available items in the results to take a closer look at its details.

Buying CitiXens from OpenSea

There are three ways you can purchase CitiXens from OpenSea: Buy Now, Make an Offer, or Auction.

Buy Now

The most straightforward way to acquire a CitiXen from OpenSea is through directly buying items that are listed "Buy Now" on the platform. To buy these CitiXens, simply click the blue "Buy Now" button, which appears on the CitiXens OpenSea page. Make sure that you have enough cryptocurrency for sale before being prompted to complete the purchase. If you do, click the "Checkout" button. In case you don’t have enough funds, you can use the "Add Funds" button to fill your wallet with more cryptocurrency.

Once you have clicked the Checkout button, your wallet should pop up, asking you to check, sign, and confirm the transaction.

Make An Offer

In case you see a CitiXen or CitiXens Pod that you are interested in purchasing but is not currently listed for sale or auction, you can still make an offer to the owner of that NFT by using the Make an Offer function. On the right-hand side of the CitiXen page on OpenSea, is a section labeled "Offers". Click the "Make Offer" button.

A prompt will appear asking you to select the currency you wish to make the offer in, enter the amount that you wish to offer, and choose when you want the offer to expire. Once these details are in, press the "Make Offer" button. Your wallet should then pop up asking you to check, sign and confirm the offer.

Auction

To place a bid on a CitiXen or CitiXens Pod in an auction, simply click the blue "Place Bid" button, which appears on the item’s OpenSea page. You can also see the current bids, the current price, whether the reserve has been met, and when the auction ends.

When you click the "Place Bid" button, a small window will pop up, where you can select the currency that you wish to bid in, enter the price of your bid, and check the current U.S. dollar value of your chosen bid. Once ready, click the "Place Bid" button.

If you want to make a bid in ETH, you will notice the only option OpenSea offers is Wrapped ETH (or WETH). Both ETH and WETH have the same value. Once you click "Place Bid", your wallet should pop-up, asking you to check, sign and confirm the bid.

Any bids that were placed within the last 10 minutes of an auction will extend that auction by a further 10 minutes. This is an OpenSea feature.
